Fifteen Minutes

Written by Derek Stevenson

Fifteen minutes ‘til five.
He’s waiting on the clock.
Fifteen minutes of time left working,
‘Til he’ll be going home.
He’ll see her face one more time,
Be greeted at the door.
It’s all for her he keeps on working,
Fifteen minutes more.

Fifteen, fourteen, thirteen, twelve.
Keep your eye on the clock,
Counting down the seconds.
Eleven, ten, nine, eight, seven,
Keep your eye on the clock,
Your future awaits you.

Fifteen minutes ‘til five.
She’s waiting on the clock.
Fifteen minutes while supper’s cooking,
And he’ll be coming home.
She’ll see his face one more time,
She’ll greet him at the door.
It’s all for him she stays home working,
Fifteen minutes more.

Fifteen, fourteen, thirteen, twelve.
Keep your eye on the clock,
Counting down the seconds.
Eleven, ten, nine, eight, seven,
Keep your eye on the clock,
Your future awaits you.

Fifteen minutes ‘til five.
God’s waiting on the clock.
Fifteen minutes while no one’s watching,
He’ll come to take us home.
We’ll see His face for the first time,
He’ll greet us one by one.
It’s all for us He keeps on waiting,
Fifteen minutes more.

Fifteen, fourteen, thirteen, twelve.
Keep your eye on the clock,
Counting down the seconds.
Eleven, ten, nine, eight, seven,
Keep your eye on the clock,
Your future awaits you.
Six, five, four, three, two,
Keep your eye on the clock,
What choices have you made?
One.

Fifteen minutes ‘til five.
Time is ticking.
Fifteen minutes ‘til five.
Where will you be?
